The following questions aim to help teams and team members understand how energy ebbs and flows within and between them. The answers provide the basis for a dialogue on how to work with and enhance team energy, both collectively and individually.
- On a typical day, when are you most energised? (Morning, midday, afternoon, evening, it varies)
- What kinds of pressure[1] are most helpful to get you into “flow”?
- What kinds of pressure are least helpful to get you into “flow”?
- What behaviours by others energise you?
- What behaviours by others sap your energy?
- How do you pace your work to optimise your energy?
- How much of your energy is focused on the most important outcomes?
- How much of your energy is focused on urgent outcomes (that may or may not be high importance)?
- What shifts would you like to make in how you individually allocate your energy?
- What shifts would you like to make in how we collectively allocate your energy?
