The following questions aim to help teams and team members understand how energy ebbs and flows within and between them.  The answers provide the basis for a dialogue on how to work with and enhance team energy, both collectively and individually.

  1. On a typical day, when are you most energised? (Morning, midday, afternoon, evening, it varies)
  2. What kinds of pressure[1] are most helpful to get you into “flow”?
  3. What kinds of pressure are least helpful to get you into “flow”?
  4. What behaviours by others energise you?
  5. What behaviours by others sap your energy?
  6. How do you pace your work to optimise your energy?
  7. How much of your energy is focused on the most important outcomes?
  8. How much of your energy is focused on urgent outcomes (that may or may not be high importance)?
  9. What shifts would you like to make in how you individually allocate your energy?
  10. What shifts would you like to make in how we collectively allocate your energy?
