
Course overview
This unique virtual workshop, based on more than 20 years of research, explores the core principles of creating a coaching culture in organisations and provides practical tools for managing the transition to making coaching the default mindset in organisational problem solving in increasingly complex operating environments. It is aimed at organisational leaders, Human Resource professionals and coaches working in organisations.
The one day course spread across four sessions cover:
What do we mean by a coaching culture?
This session explores how to align everyone around a shared understanding of the nature and benefits of a coaching culture.
How do we measure what we have?
This session provides resources for assessing where the organisation is on the way to a coaching culture and for identifying forces that help and hinder.
The key components of a coaching and mentoring strategy
In this session, we look at the resources needed and how to link these with the business strategy. We explore in particular the role of the work team as a a fulcrum for embedding the coaching culture.
How to apply a systems perspective to developing the coaching culture
Our final session examines how to embed a coaching mindset within the fabric of the organisation. It will include new research and tools for enhancing learning within teams of teams.
About the presenter
David is visiting professor at Henley Business School, distinguished research fellow at The Conference Board and special ambassador for the EMCC
David and his colleague the late David Megginson carried out the first substantive research into coaching culture more than 20 years ago. That research continues and now incorporates an ever-widening understanding of the complexities in creating and sustaining a coaching culture.
